If you order doorframe displays directly from Systam, they will come pre-installed by default, so this guide does not apply to you.
If you are using your own doorframe display, have received a new device from maintenance, or for any other reason need to install the Systam Rooms application, this guide will assist you.
The application can be downloaded from the Dashboard. If you do not have access to the Dashboard, of have problems downloading the applictation, please contact support@systam.io
Once you have received the .apk package, you need to transfer it to the device.
Using a USB Drive
The easiest way is to save the .apk file to a USB drive and connect the drive to the display.
- Connect the USB drive to the USB port located at the back of the device. The device has two ports, and both work in this case.
- Press the circular power button found at the back of the device and then the volume-down button.
- Enter the device's PIN code (Default is 1234).
- Select Storage - External hard drive.
- Select the .apk file and install.
Using a Web Browser
It is also possible to download the .apk file from a web address. You will receive the address when requested.
- Press the circular power button located at the back of the device and then the volume-down button.
- Enter the device's PIN code (Default is 1234).
- Select Apps and Chromium.
- Enter the URL you received.
- Download the file and install.
Setting the Default Application
Once you have successfully installed the Systam Rooms application, make sure that the application is set as the default.
Navigate to the settings and go to "Signage display" -> "Source settings" -> "Custom app" -> Select app - Systam Rooms."
