Setting basic user permissions

The basic user permissions page controls what regular hosts see and can do in the web service. You'll find it under Management → Settings → Basic user permissions, and it applies to every host in your organization at once.

Available settings

• Show host contact details to all users — whether every host can see each other's contact details, or only their own.
• Permission to create visits for other hosts — whether a host can book a visit on behalf of another host, not just for themselves.
• Show hosts' visits and visitor data to all users — whether every host can see other hosts' visits and visitors, or only their own.

Visitor data search

This page also sets how many characters a user needs to type before visitor search results appear. A lower number shows results faster, but if you have a lot of visitors on file, a higher number keeps the results more relevant.

Remember to save your changes with the Save changes button.

It's worth setting these limits based on how open or closed you want visit management to be in your organization — for example, in a larger building it can be clearer if everyone only sees their own visits.
