How to create new induction content in Systam Pass

In Systam Pass you can create induction content for employees, visitors, or contractors, for example. This guide walks you through creating new content and configuring its settings.

1. Create new content

Go to the Contents view and click + Create new content. This view also lists all existing content, along with when each item was created and last modified.

2. Fill in the basics

Give the content a Name and a short Description. Write the actual induction content in the text editor: you can add text, images, videos and links. When you're done, click Create new content. Cancel closes the form without saving.

3. Configure the settings

Once the content is created, go to the Settings tab. You'll find the following options:

• Self sign-up for content – whether employees can enrol themselves in the content.
• Exam – enables exam questions after the induction.
• Reminder messages enabled – turns on automatic reminder messages. Use Create new reminder to add one.
• Number of randomised questions – how many exam questions are drawn for each completion.
• Number of correct answers required – how many questions need to be answered correctly for the completion to be approved.
• Completion validity period in days – how long a completion stays valid before it expires.
• Mark all completions as expired – the Mark all completions as expired now button expires all previous completions at once, for example after a major content update.
• Search terms / tags – tags that make the content findable in the project listing. You can also click an existing tag to add it.

4. Add exam questions

If you enabled Exam, go to the Exam questions tab and add your questions. Write the Question, the Correct answer, and the incorrect options (Wrong answer #1, Wrong answer #2, and so on). Questions and answers are written separately for each language the content is available in.

5. Add language versions

Content is always created in one language first. To add more, click Add language version and pick a language from the list. If there's no translation for the language an employee has selected, the content won't be shown to them in that language at all.

The languages currently available are Finnish, English, Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovene, Spanish, Turkish and Ukrainian. If you need another language, ask support@systam.fi to add it.

6. Track completions

On the content's own page you'll also find the Completions, Pending completions and Reporting tabs, which show the completion status for that specific content. You can read more about reporting in Systam Pass in the Reporting in Systam Pass article.
