This guide explains how to install a visitor badge printer on your computer. If this is the first installation and your computer is missing Brother drivers, you should first download the drivers from https://www.brother.fi/support/ql-700/downloads.
Remember to check the printer model and the operating system of your computer to ensure you download the correct drivers.
Install the drivers according to the provided instructions. Once the drivers are installed, it's time to configure the settings.
Step 1: Open the Windows Control Panel.
Step 2: Open "Hardware and Sound" from the appearing view.
Step 3: Look for "Devices and Printers."
VStep 4: From the list, find the visitor card printer (Brother) and right-click on "Printer Properties."
Step 5: In the popup window, select "Device Settings."
Step 6: Choose "Properties" from the popup window.
Step 7: The settings should be as shown in the following image. When connected, Power should be set to On, and the automatic power-off time should be set to 0 minutes. Select the correct settings and click "Apply," then close the window.
Step 8: Now the printer is installed. Next, choose the correct paper size. Go back to the printer properties and click on "General" and then "Preferences."
Step 9: Select the appropriate paper size (check your badge size) and prioritize print quality at 300x300 dpi. After this, the printer is ready for use.
