General settings and the virtual visitor badge

Modified on Thu, 6 Aug at 2:12 PM

The Settings → General settings page controls system-wide settings, such as the display language and default self-service behavior.

Display language

Choose the default display language for the self-service kiosk.

Default self-service behavior

  • Visitor badge printing — whether the kiosk prints a physical visitor badge at sign-in.
  • Automatic photo capture — whether the kiosk automatically takes a photo of the visitor.
  • Save photo to service — whether the captured photo is saved to the service, or only used on the badge.
  • Video guide starts automatically — whether the guide video starts automatically at the end of sign-in. Related settings are covered in Self-service sign-in flow settings.
  • Summary sent to host — whether a visit summary is automatically sent to the host.

Virtual visitor badge

The virtual visitor badge is a digital version of the visitor badge that can be sent to the visitor after sign-in. It includes the visit details and a QR code the visitor can use to sign out, either on the self-service kiosk or with help from reception.

  • Send virtual visitor badges to visitors: choose whether to send it by email, text message, or both.
  • Allow visitors to sign out using the virtual visitor badge: enable Include sign-out button if you want visitors to be able to sign out directly from the virtual badge.

That's it — the basics and the digital badge, all in one place.
