You didn't get a notification when your visitor arrived

Modified on Mon, 28 Sep at 12:26 PM

When a visitor signs in, the host gets a notification by email, text message or both. If the notification didn't arrive, the reason is usually one of the ones below.

Check these

  1. Your contact details. Open your name in the top bar → Profile → My details and check your email address and phone number (GSM). Notifications are sent to these. You can enter the phone number without a country code, for example 0401234567. See Your user account settings.
  2. Spam. Check whether the email notification ended up in your spam folder.
  3. Were you the host? If someone else created the visit and chose another person as host, the notification went to them. The notification always goes to the host of the visit, including when the visit was created on someone's behalf.
  4. Did the visitor pick the right host? An unannounced visitor searches for their host by name on the self-service kiosk. If they picked the wrong person, the notification went to that person.
  5. Notification settings. The admin decides whether notifications are sent by email, text message or both. If one channel is missing entirely, ask your admin to check the setting. See Notifications to host.

Group visits

When visitors sign in as a group, a notification is sent each time one group sign-in is completed. If the group signs in in batches, you get several notifications.

If nothing helps

Contact support at support@systam.fi. Tell us the visitor's name and the time of the visit, and we'll look into it quickly.

Most of the time it's the contact details, and the next visitor's arrival reaches you just fine.
