Systam Visit system's connected printer uses thermal transfer to print visitor cards for guests. The commonly used visitor card size is 62x100mm, and the printer can hold 300 visitor cards.
Notification for low visitor card quantity
The printer connected to Systam's self-service terminal can alert when the visitor cards are running low. The system sends an email to a pre-defined address when there are only 30, 20, and 10 visitor cards left on the roll. When the visitor cards are completely depleted, a notification is sent after each login.
The email address to which the notification is sent can be found in RespaManager using admin or lobby credentials through the following path:
Management -> Settings -> Assistant -> Email. (If you want the notification to be sent to multiple email addresses, you can separate them with a semicolon. e.g., [email protected];[email protected])
If a separate visitor card printer is connected to the reception computer, no notifications for roll depletion will be sent. Please keep an eye the printer roll yourself.
Replacing a new roll
Depending on the self-service kiosk, open the printer cover to access the printer.
There is a small slot on top of the printer, pulling it will raise the printer cover.
Remove the empty or almost empty roll and open the "spindle" by separating its parts.
Place the new roll into the spindle in the same manner and attach the spindle.
Now, you can insert the new roll into the printer and feed the beginning of the roll into the printer.
Close the cover, and the printer will align the roll correctly.
Stopping the alert
Once you have successfully replaced the new roll in the printer:
1. Log in to RespaManager using your credentials.
2. Go to Management - Settings.
3. In the opened window, you can reset the counter (if there are multiple kiosk's, make sure you select the printer you just replaced)
